Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church where she sang and performed piano. Her music career started in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released only in Japan and has been remixed since by numerous producers and is the mainstay of her live set. The singer has also provided her singing on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005 she took on the role of the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the director of the choral group for this theatrical production. Sunshine gained national recognition for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to sing as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
